Looks like the Beta is out. You can sign up for it here : https://us.battle.net/account/management/beta-profile.xml but you'll need a Battle.net account, and an existing Blizzard software license (any game) in order to qualify.
Apparently : scalpers have been selling StarCraft 2 Beta keys for Up to $300 on eBay.
We are now closer to a confirmed launch. The buzz is that the game itself set for release in the middle of 2010.
